Newcastle Town have yet to play a game in 2010 - and there was no chance of any action at the Lyme Valley Stadium on Saturday.
Town Secretary Ray Tatton has sent the following pictures and says "Never have Castle gone five weeks and had every game - First Team, Reserves and Youth Team - called off. Groundsman Colin Spencer has only been able to look on helplessly as freezing weather, snow and now a waterlogged pitch have put pay to any hope of football since before Xmas.
The pictures show the pitch last Saturday (16th) when the Reserve Staffs Challenge Cup match against Lichfield City was called off due to waterlogging and ice - weather only fit for ducks.
