Bootle had a brand new Bucks fan visit them at the Delta Taxis Stadium before Christmas.
The new addition to the Bucks supporters' ranks is Paul Barber, who starred as Denzel in Only Fools and Horses and featured in the film The Full Monty. Paul took time out to have a photograph taken (shown below) with his Bootle FC scarf and The Vodkat League Division One Championship Trophy.
Paul's visit was as part of a documentary being filmed by ESPN, for an introduction to the Liverpool v Birmingham game on Monday 9th November.
Bootle FC Secretary Joe Doran received a call a few days beforehand from an ESPN producer who asked if the club had a physiotherapy table that he could film Paul on. As it's a league requirement, Joe informed him there was a selection and that there wouldn't be a problem with them filming at the ground. Filming for the piece also took place in Liverpool city centre, Crosby beach and of course Anfield.
Some Bucks supporters taped the relevant part of the programme and the footage has been shown in the clubhouse on matchdays for those who missed it. By the way, Paul kept his 'kit' ON for the duration of his visit!
