Barnoldswick Town are hosting a veterans' challenge match this coming Sunday against a side comprising many former Burnley FC players.
The Vintage Clarets, a team comprising ex-Burnley players from the 80's & 90's, will be playing against a Barnoldswick team made up of players from the 98/99 team that won promotion in the West Lancashire League.
The Burnley team will feature the following players, Chris Pearce, Ashley Hoskin, Roger Eli, Paul Atkinson, Liam Robinson, Chris Scott, Gerry Harrison, Chris Brass, Ian Britton, Graham Lancashire, John Francis, Craig Mawson, Robbie Painter, Andy Farrell, John Mullin & Jonathan Irvine.
The Barnoldswick Team Steven Simm, Stewart Mulligan, John Bailey, Kevin Hird (Capt), Justin Wilson, Dan Terry, Craig Fort, Liam Roberts, Keiran Roberts, Steven Tosney, Nick Waugh, Steven Carling, Steve Petty, Paul Corrigan, Marcus Cooper, Paul Holgate.
Town will be captained by former Burnley, Blackburn Rovers & Leeds United player Kevin Hird, a former Barnoldswick player who obviously wants to finish on the winning team.
The kick off at the Silentnight Stadium is at 3 pm, with admission prices £2 adults and £1 concessions. All proceeds from the game will be used for ground improvements.
