Albion Rovers boss Paul Martin is looking forward to taking his side to Selkirk for the third season in a row for a pre-season friendly, however he is out to ensure that this year’s game does not cost him the services of a player for almost the entire season.
The Coatbridge side take on the East of Scotland League team on Saturday, July 17 at Yarrow Park with Martin saying, “Our fans have really enjoyed the last two games at Selkirk and the hospitality that everyone from Rovers enjoys down there ensures it is a great day. Last season we lost my player/ assistant manager Todd Lumsden, when he injured his ankle in the game after landing awkwardly. He missed most of the campaign so fingers crossed we have a great day again but with no injuries.”
